Community and Workforce Education

The Community and Workforce Education department at Lamar State College Orange provides non-credit learning opportunities for the community as well as customized training programs to meet the needs of local businesses and industry. Our classes are open to everyone and our commitment is to increase our students' knowledge and skills needed for their current jobs and preparation for future career advancement.

We also partner with businesses to attain grants and other forms of funding to offset the cost of training. Numerous funding programs exist, and our staff will assist your business in finding the one that best fits your needs.

Who teaches Community and Workforce Education classes? You do!

Our instructors are business owners, teachers, assistants, lawyers, etc. They are people like you who have a special talent, skill or set of ideas that can be passed on to others. The basic requirements are simple: a love for your subject and a desire to share this expertise with others. Do you have knowledge of a subject or special skill you could share with others? If so, we would like to hear from you. Send us an email at workforce@lsco.edu or call us at 409-882-3321.
