Introduction to Small Engine Maintenance
Small Engine Technology includes knowledge of the function and maintenance of the systems and components of all types of small engines such as outdoor power equipment, motorcycles, and generators. This course is taught by LSCO faculty and designed to provide training for employment in the small engine technology industry. Instruction includes the repair and service of cooling, air, fuel, lubricating, electrical, ignition, and mechanical systems.
This is an introduction course covering engine components, principles of engine operation, 2 and 4 stroke engine, basic safety and tools, fuel supply and air induction and emissions, and fundamentals of electricity.
