Academic Probation
Print Friendly Academic Probation (pdf)
A student is placed on academic probation when their overall grade point average (GPA) at the end of a semester drops below an average of a 2.0.
Academic probation is divided between two levels.
- Class registration is limited to 12 credit hours.
- Receive a good academic standing when your overall GPA is above a 2.0.
- Removal of probation limits if GPA remains above a 2.0.
- Transfer to P2 probation if your GPA remains below a 2.0.
- Class registration is limited to 7 credit hours.
- Receive a good academic standing when your overall GPA is above a 2.0.
- Transfer to P1 probation if your Term GPA is above a 2.0.
- Withdraw one semester of study if your Term GPA is below a 2.0.
Success does not always follow a predictable path. Our lives are complex and success
does not look the same for every student. Many students go through probation and continue
on with strong academic careers.
