Lamar State College Orange and Sul Ross State University are both members of the Texas State University System, and their partnership offers one of the most flexible transfer options available to LSCO students. You can transfer up to 84 credit hours to SRSU toward a bachelor’s degree — and thanks to SRSU’s robust online program offerings, you may be able to earn your degree without leaving Orange County.
LSCO and SRSU have partnered to provide students with clear pathways from an associate degree to a bachelor’s degree, with dedicated advising support to help you choose the right program and coursework.

How to Transfer
- Meet with Your LSCO Advisor. Work with your academic advisor to make sure your coursework aligns with your intended degree at Sul Ross State University. Request an unofficial transcript review to confirm which credits will transfer.
- Apply for Admission. Submit your application through SRSU’s transfer admissions page. Be sure to select "Transfer Student" as your student type.
- Send Your Transcripts. Request official transcripts from LSCO (and any other institutions attended) be sent directly to SRSU's admissions office.
- Check Course Equivalencies. Use SRSU's transfer equivalency tools to confirm how your LSCO courses apply toward your bachelor's degree.
- Apply for Financial Aid. Complete the FAFSA at studentaid.gov and list SRSU's school code. Explore scholarships specifically for transfer students.
- Register for Classes. Once admitted, connect with your new advisor at SRSU to register for your first semester of classes.
