Distance Education - Blackboard Course Enrollment

Students will be automatically enrolled in courses within 6 hours after completing registration. Students should not expect to see their courses listed in the Blackboard ‘Courses’ area, until five days before the start of the semester.

Lamar State College Orange automatically creates a Blackboard course shell for every course offered. Each course will have either content or an announcement indicating that the course shell is empty of content and only used if the campus is closed for an extended period of time.

Five days prior to the start of a semester you can verify that you are enrolled in a particular current semester course, by logging into your student records using Gator Self-Service via MyGator. If a course appears on your schedule in your student record but not on Blackboard, submit a helpdesk ticket. Please provide your name, campus ID and contact phone number.
