ACUE promotes student engagement, persistence to graduation, career readiness and deeper levels of learning. The year-long program assists professors in refining their teaching skills, staying current on research, and making a difference.

The LSCO instructors were members of a larger cohort of instructors from Lamar Institute of Technology and Lamar State College Port Arthur.

Dr. John Hayek, Texas State University System Vice Chancellor for Academic and Health Affairs, played a vital role in coordinating the program for the three campuses. In his remarks he celebrated the pathways created for students who attend schools with instructors who have completed the ACUE training program.

A pinning ceremony was held at Lamar Institute of Technology to celebrate the faculty from each Lamar campus and recognize their efforts to enhance the college classroom experience.
