GED

The GED test is available by appointment, Monday – Friday, although hours available each day can vary. You may register for testing on-line at www.ged.com or register with the call center Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., 1-877-392-6433. Payment is due at the time of test registration. Test-takers can select a single module or a combination of modules for their exam appointment. Total testing time is approximately 7 hours. You must be a Texas resident to take the GED test in Texas.

The mathematics, science, and social studies modules include an embedded calculator, TI-30XS.  Testers may also bring a handheld TI-30XS Multi-view Scientific Calculator for any of the three test subjects that allow the use of a calculator:  Mathematical Reasoning, Science, and Social Studies.

With the exception of the Language Arts component, scores are available within 3 hours of test completion. Log in MyGED account at www.GED.com and select the Scores tab to retrieve scores.

GED Marketplace is an e-commerce site featuring products for learners at all levels and interests. The site includes materials to help adults with basic skills programs and computer skills training, and it offers the GED Ready™ Practice Test online. Adult learners can access these tools by visiting the GED Testing Service® Learning Hub™ at www.ged.com.
