LSCO Stacked Green Logo

Dear Gators,

Lamar State College Orange is committed to creating and maintaining an educational community and working environment in which everyone is respected, appreciated, and valued. We are dedicated to providing an education and working environment free from sexual misconduct, including sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking for all faculty, staff, students, and visitors.

I currently serve as the Title IX Coordinator for LSCO. The coordinator is responsible for coordinating efforts to comply with and implement the Texas State University System (TSUS) Sexual Misconduct Policy. The Title IX Coordinator is responsible for conducting the administrative investigation of reports of Sexual Misconduct and is available to discuss options, provide support, explain policy and procedures, and provide education on relevant issues. Other members of our LSCO Title IX Team include Assistant Vice President Patty Collins, Deputy Coordinator, Investigator Kim Hagler, Deputy Coordinator and Investigator Alicia Lloyd and Investigator Leah Weaver.

It is a federal requirement to train the entire campus community about promoting awareness of sexual offenses, and risk reduction strategies to enable the community members to take a role in preventing and interrupting incidents of sexual misconduct.

New and transfer students are required to attend the LSCO provided training modules for Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduates, the AlcoholEduc for College course that encourages students to reflect on their drinking and encourages safe decision making, Mental Well-Being for Students, and Hazing Awareness & Prevention, making our campus safer for all.

If you are a new or transfer student, you will receive an email with a link to the training platform. Thank you in advance for participating in the mandatory training modules. You are required to complete all modules by March 15, 2026.

We look forward to working with the entire campus in our ongoing Title IX education and compliance efforts. If you have any questions concerning Title IX, please contact me.

Sincerely,
