Our History
Founded in 1969, LSCO is a member of the Texas State University System. We currently serve over 2,600 students and offer both academic and technical associate degrees and certificates of completion.
Our Leadership
Our leadership team, overseen by President Dr. Thomas Johnson, strives to serve our students and the entire campus community by embodying LSCO’s core values, establishing strong strategic goals and advocating for our mission.
Accreditation
Lamar State College Orange is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award the associate of arts, associate of science, and associate of applied science degrees and certificates of completion.

Functioning as an off-campus site, the Lumberton campus serves the Lumberton community and provides an array of courses ranging from those that fulfill core curriculum and general education transfer requirements to a university to those that will provide technical training and equip students for entry into the workplace upon completion. The Brown Estate is a historical representation of Orange County and serves as a hub for social, educational, and cultural activity. Owned and operated by LSCO, the space is used for meetings, conferences, and other activities.
While all main campus buildings are designated to serve students in each of our program pathways, there are several approved instructional locations within the surrounding community where students are able to apply learning and gain real-world experience in their field of study.
