Why Study Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technology at LSCO?

HVAC technology is a high-demand field with high-projected-growth occupations. By pursuing a HVAC Technology degree at LSCO, students are trained and prepared for immediate employment opportunities.  HVAC technicians install and maintain the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems that maintain temperature and air quality in buildings. They work mostly in homes, schools, hospitals, office buildings, or factories. Because HVAC systems have become increasingly complex, employers generally prefer applicants with postsecondary-level education.

Employment of heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration technicians, mechanics, and installers is expected to grow 5 percent from 2021 to 2031. About 40,100 openings for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration mechanics and installers are projected each year, on average, over the decade.

To ensure that students are well-equipped to tackle challenges in this field, the HVAC Technology courses at LSCO are designed to provide hands-on learning opportunities in which students acquire practical skills that are highly valued by employers. Overall, the HVAC Technology program at LSCO prepares students to enter and excel in a field that offers abundant career prospects.
