Foreign Transcript Policy
All applicants applying for faculty or staff positions who have attended a college or university outside the United States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, a Trust Territory of the Pacific Island, or any territory or possession of the U.S. are required to have their foreign transcripts evaluated, transcribed to English (if applicable), and authenticated by a recognized credential evaluation agency. The evaluation must be conducted by a U.S.-based evaluation company that is accredited by one of the following organizations: the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. (AICE) or the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). Translations (if applicable) must be performed by a certified translation service.
The evaluation must include:
- An official transcript of the applicant’s academic record.
- A certification of the diploma or degree conferred.
- A U.S. equivalency determination, outlining how the foreign education compares to U.S. standards.
The original evaluation report must be sent directly from the credential evaluation agency to Lamar State College Orange’s Human Resources Department.

It is the applicant's responsibility to obtain and pay for this evaluation. Applicants should be aware that the foreign transcript evaluation process may vary from one member organization to another and can take several weeks, so they are encouraged to plan accordingly when applying for employment.
Application materials will be reviewed for employment consideration after the application, copy of foreign transcript, and transcript evaluation have been received. Failure to submit the required evaluation by an accredited agency could delay the processing of the application.
