Pharmacy Technology (C) Certificate
This program is designed to prepare students for employment as pharmacy technicians. Pharmacy technicians function under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
This program is competency based and teaches the appropriate skills, knowledge and perspectives needed to succeed within the pharmacy technology field. Students have the opportunity to learn competence in oral and written communication as well as math and computer skills specific to the workplace.
Students who successfully complete this program are eligible take the mandated licensure exam.
The LSCO Pharmacy Technology Program is fully accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
In 2018, the LSCO Pharmacy Technology Program was ranked in the Top 10 Pharmacy Technician Schools in the state of Texas and one of the Top 75 Pharmacy Technician Schools in the nation.
