OASIS Tutoring Center
The Gator Success Center is in the process of being renamed the OASIS Tutoring Center. Please pardon any inaccuracies in our content as we make this transition.
Mission
The OASIS (Office of Academic Support and Instructional Services) supports the educational mission of Lamar State College Orange by providing services, resources, and programs that promote academic success, excellence in teaching and learning, and continuing intellectual and personal growth, to our students, faculty, staff, and the greater Orange community.
In addition to being a fun acronym, the OASIS staff hope that we can provide students, faculty, and staff with an oasis of knowledge, support, and inspiration.
The OASIS Tutoring Center is on the 2nd floor of the Ron E. Lewis Building.

Lifeguards Mentoring Program
Students will be partnered with a mentor prior to or early in the semester. The mentors will not only help guide them through what it takes to be a college student, but will also be able to offer advice based on their years of experience in higher education and the workforce. Mentor/Student matches will be completed using software with detailed questionnaires so that students are partnered with a mentor that fits their needs.
Supplemental Instruction (SI):
Face-to-face and online Supplemental Instruction sessions (via Blackboard) are available to help students in challenging "gateway" courses.
Tutorials and Other Resources
Individualized tutoring is available in writing, math, reading, computer applications, and other subjects requested by our students.
