Temple Grant Program
The Temple Grant Program is intended to support students who are college ready and are close to or making progress towards credential completion of middle to high-wage high-demand jobs in the region. Grants will be disbursed to eligible students enrolling in Spring 2023 through Fall 2024 semesters.
Eligible students are able to receive direct financial assistance to pay tuition, fees, course material, equipment, and other related enrollment charges as well as personal aid to assist with housing, food, transportation, childcare, and other basic living costs.
Student Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this grant, students must meet the following eligibility criteria;
- Must be enrolled in a program of study as determined by Lamar State College Orange to be a high-demand or middle to high-demand program. A listing of eligible programs can be found below.
- Identified as greater than or equal to 50% program completion.
- With the exception of dual credit, must have a FAFSA on file with the institution for the applicable award year.
- With the exception of dual credit, must be meeting the institution’s Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress Standards or have an approved appeal on file for the semester for which the grant is awarded.
- Must be in good standing with the institution.
- With the exception of dual credit, must have unmet need for the applicable aid year.
