Whether you have always dreamed of taking your vows in an enchanting garden, inside a beautiful and ambient sunroom, or with an Antebellum-style mansion as your backdrop, the Brown Estate, can make your wish come true. Weddings held at the Estate in South East Texas are the epitome of romantic elegance. Large or small, your wedding will be catered to your personal style and preference, and the staff will work closely with you to bring your vision to life.

Both wedding ceremonies and receptions can be scheduled at the Brown Estate, as well rehearsal dinners and showers. Several charming, spacious, antiquated rooms within the Estate can also be scheduled to be used as dressing areas.

Rental Fees

Wedding Ceremony and Reception - house and grounds $3,500.00 per event
(Ceremony & Reception or Reception only rentals. We do not offer Ceremony only rentals.)
Wedding Reception - house and grounds $3,000.00 per event
Special Occasion Reception $1,500.00 per event
Use of the Solarium for Luncheon or Dinner $1,000.00 per event
Use of the Solarium for Shower $500.00 per event
Use of the Dining Room for Luncheon or Dinner $350.00 per event

*Additional charges are applied for catering, bartending, service charge, and tax.

Wedding Ceremony and Receptions

The following items are included in the rental fees to help create a truly memorable occasion:

  • Use of the house and grounds for wedding photography
  • Ceremony seating for 150 guests when the wedding is held in the solarium/standing room 200
  • Outdoor ceremony max 300 (chairs not included outdoors)
  • Use of the solarium or grounds for your wedding rehearsal (scheduled according to availability)
  • Use of indoor chairs, tables, and elegant table linens in white or ivory
  • Use of feather pen, portrait easels, cake knives, and 2 flutes for toasting
  • Setup of cake tables, bar, dining table, reception tables, silverware, and glassware
  • Glass candle lamps for reception tables
  • One punch bar, coffee service, and water service
  • Changing rooms available 3 hours prior to event when ceremony is held on site
  • Use of keyboard for your performer if requested
  • Complimentary cake cutting service
Catering options are an additional fee, and must be provided by The Brown Estate caterer.
No outside caterers are allowed except for celebration cakes.   
 
Selection of Seven Hors d’ Oeuvres (Min 25 guests/Max 300 Guests)

Selection of Dinner Buffet (Min 25 guests/Max 150 guests)
 
Basic weddings with no food service will be charged $3 per person.
Service charge and tax will be applied.  No alcohol service allowed for basic weddings.
 
Food, bar, rental equipment, labor fees, and tax are not included in The Brown Estate rental fee.
The office will provide you with an estimate including all charges at time of booking.
Security fees are payable at time of event to the police officers on duty.

 

Labor Services

A 20% service charge will be added to all prices, excluding sales tax. A labor charge of $25.00 will be assessed for all groups of 25 guests or less.
Hostess, bartender, and waitstaff required for all functions.
