LSC-O and the National Center for Competency Testing Join Forces
Lamar State College-Orange is pleased to announce its recent approval as a new testing site for the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT). This approval means that LSC-O will be permitted to administer NCCT certification examinations onsite under an independent, trained proctor.
In addition, NCCT has officially recognized the eligibility of the students and graduates of LSC-O to qualify for its certification testing in the following disciplines:
- National Certified Insurance and Coding Specialist (NCICS); and
- National Certified Medical Office Assistant (NCMOA).
Both the Board of Directors and the Board of Testing of NCCT welcomed LSC-O in this new partnership in a public announcement Feb. 19. NCCT is an independent certification organization that has tested more than 350,000 individuals throughout the United States since 1989 for competency in the following roles: Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy Technician, Insurance and Coding Specialist, Medical Office Assistant, Patient Care Technician, ECG Technician, Tech in Surgery-Certified (NCCT), and Certified Postsecondary Instructor.
