How Much Time Does It Take?
Students taking LSC-O distance education courses report spending six to eight hours each week working on each course. This is not much different from traditional face-to-face classes. In traditional face-to-face classes, it is expected that students will devote about three to four hours for each credit hour spent in class. The same holds true for online classes. The advantage of online learning is not that it requires fewer hours, but that it provides flexibility to accommodate different schedules.
