Make it a Movie Night with LSC-O

On Tuesday, November 17, Lamar State College-Orange will host its Screen on the Green movie night, with “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” as the feature presentation.  MadNonnie.com will come to campus and set up their huge inflatable screen on our lawn and we are inviting the community to come out and watch a great movie...on us! 

LSC-O will be celebrating achieving record enrollment for this fall, and will be selling hot dogs to support our Foundation scholarship fundraising efforts.  There will also be great music and give-aways!  The college's Student Government Association will be holding its annual food drive and accepting non-perishable food item donations at the event.

LSC-O held its first movie in November 2008 and showed “Iron Man” and then in March of this year showed “To Kill A Mockingbird” in collaboration with the Lutcher Theater’s Big Read Texas campaign.  The college is excited to host events such as these for surrounding communities to enjoy.  They allow families, friends and neighbors to come together for something that supports growth in southeast Texas. “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” is an action-packed sequel that is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.  The movie transforms favorite childhood toys into larger-than-life, fully animated creatures.  This film is rated PG-13.

The movie will begin at 6:00 p.m.; activities will be setup at 5:00 p.m. Feel free to tailgate from your vehicle or bring a blanket and lawn chair to have an up-close view of the screen.  Come and get transformed at LSC-O!  This event is FREE and open to the public, so be sure to arrive early for a good seat!   For more information, visit www.lsco.edu or call (409) 882-3345.
